In the beginning
Lindis Flower Bulbs is a trading name of Boston Seeds Ltd, which is an independent seed and bulb merchant founded in 2002 by Andrew Wallis, after 25 years working for some of Europe’s leading seed houses. Initially, trading as a traditional seed merchant Boston Seeds were one of the pioneers to start selling grass seeds and wildflowers on the internet. Our first website was launched in 2003 achieving annual sales of just £600, with a landmark in 2014 when annual online sales exceeded £1,000,000 for the first time. Since 2008, we have sold Flower Bulbs via our sister and multi-product site Kiss My Grass. In 2019, we decided to launch a site dedicated to our expanding and successful flower bulb products.
Our location in the Lincolnshire Fens is ideally situated in the heartland of the UK flower bulb industry, perfectly placed for the local tulip and daffodil production and importing quality stocks from The Netherlands.
Facilities and Investment
Investment has followed the increase in both retail and wholesale sales, to consumer and businesses alike. A major improvement in service and product availability happened when the company established its own distribution centre in 2008 and acquired land for trials and product development in 2010. More recently, Boston Seeds have expanded both office and distribution facilities, including commissioning a temperature controlled store for wildflowers, flower bulbs and specialist seeds.
Lindis Flower Bulbs operates alongside different brands, each offering their own product mix to different market sectors. We consistently make the buying process simple, quick and secure.
